Lockwood IT Services (“we,” “us”) is a locally owned IT support business in Crossett, Arkansas. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what we need to help you, and we never sell your information.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email, optional phone number and business name, whether the request is for a home or business, and your message.
- Booking: your name, email, optional phone number, service type, appointment time, a description of the problem, and (for on-site visits) your address.
- Payments: invoices are paid through our payment processor, Square. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Emails, calls, and texts you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: our website is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested to deliver and secure the site.
- Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are downloaded.
- Troubleshooter chat: the “Not sure?” troubleshooter saves your conversation in your own browser’s local storage so you can pick up where you left off. It is not sent to us. You can clear it by clearing your browser’s site data.
We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.
Remote and on-site support sessions
When you give us remote or on-site access to a computer, phone, or network, we treat everything on it as private. Here’s our commitment:
- We don’t record sessions. We do not record video or audio of your screen or your remote support session.
- We don’t copy your data without permission. We never copy, download, or keep your files, photos, emails, or other personal data unless you ask us to as part of the job (for example, transferring files to a new computer), and only with your permission.
- Screenshots are of the problem only. We may take a screenshot of an error message or issue to help diagnose it or document the fix. We capture only the error or issue itself, never your personal information, documents, or messages.
- We only access what’s needed. We look only at what’s necessary to do the work you requested, and anything we happen to see stays confidential.
- You’re in control. Remote sessions only happen when you’ve booked or requested them, you approve each connection, you can watch everything we do, and you can end the session at any time.
- Your passwords stay yours. When a password is needed, we’ll ask you to type it yourself. If you choose to share one with us, we use it only for that job and don’t keep it.
Screenshots and notes from your session are kept with your support record, used only to help you, and never shared or sold.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and schedule appointments.
- To provide, bill for, and follow up on the services you request.
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders, quotes, and receipts.
- To keep our website and systems secure and working properly.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare (website hosting and security)
- FormSubmit (delivers contact-form messages to our inbox)
- Square (payment processing)
- Our email and scheduling providers
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep customer and billing records for as long as needed to provide service and meet legal and tax requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We may need to keep some records for legal or accounting reasons.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
